Attorney General to Congress...
The AG Micheal Mukasey was in front of the House Judiciary Committee and this is basically what he had to say:
The Justice Department will not be investigating if waterboarding is against the law.
The Justice Department will not be investigating if Bush's warrantless wiretapping was illegal.
The Justice Department will not be enforcing any contempt citations that Congress might bring against the administration officials who do not honor subpoenas for testimony.
Great! Enter the era of recourse-free government. I can just imagine the episode of South Park where the music industry person continues to say "We are above the law!" then squirts some hair gel into his hand to fix a sprig of hair on his head.
I read it here.
