Victor Ellis lost his fight with cancer
Former University of Alabama linebacker, Victor Ellis, succumbed to his fight with cancer last night at the age of 28. Ellis played for Alabama from 98 through 2001 and was named a permanent team captain.
Victor graduated in 2002 and began working for the University until several months ago when he was diagnosed with a rare and deadly form of cancer. Ellis was diagnosed with cancer after developing a persistent cough last summer. Tumors were found in his lung and kidney and cancerous cells in his chest cavity and elsewhere.
Friend and fellow player Ahmaad Galloway led the way with many former Alabama players in raising money for his medical costs.
Rest in peace Victor.
